Senior Vice President
Debi joined Boardwalk Investments Group in 2021 and brings nearly 20 years of commercial real estate investment experience to the team across all asset types (multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and hospitality). She is primarily responsible for executing Boardwalk’s commercial property acquisition, and financing strategies. Debi is also involved in Boardwalk's development, asset management and risk management activities. Since joining Boardwalk, Debi has led the acquisition of over $600 million in commercial real estate holdings and has negotiated and closed $350 million in financing transactions to build the portfolio to more than $1 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining Boardwalk, Debi served as Vice President at NorthMarq where she handled over 300 commercial real estate transactions totaling $6 billion in financing. Debi holds a B.A. in Business Administration, Finance and a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Originally from San Diego, Debi loves being involved in various philanthropic and industry organizations. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Vanessa Hong
Director, Accounting
Vanessa Hong is a senior accounting professional with over 20 years of experience across various industries specializing in consolidations, internal controls and audit management. In her previous role at Colony Capital, Inc., she managed the revenue recognition of 30 investment funds with over $50 billion of assets under management and the corporate consolidation inclusive of 9 foreign subsidiaries. Before joining Colony Capital, Vanessa spearheaded the transformation of outdated accounting software, managed treasury and payroll functions, and secured financing from national banks for an office supplies retailer. While at Deloitte & Touche, Vanessa oversaw audit engagements for the Attest and Assurance practice. Vanessa earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California in 2000 and has been a CPA in the State of California since 2002.
MAURICE Powell
Property Manager
As Property Manager, Maurice oversees the daily operations of the Boardwalk real estate portfolio including the maintenance and upkeep of the projects, supervision of third-party vendors, financial budgeting and tenant relations. With his ingenuity, flexibility and strong communication skills, Maurice continues to gain the respect of Tenants while proving to be a valuable asset to the Boardwalk team. Maurice enjoys spending his free time with family and friends and long walks on the beach.
